Are you worried that your child might be using drugs?

You cannot control what your child does but you can influence them to make healthier choices in life. Advise them on healthy lifestyles and encourage open communication. Equip yourself with the correct information about drugs.

Teenage years are a difficult time. Try and encourage your child towards sporting activities and other past-times.

Listen to your child, set boundaries and have constructive conversations.

Encourage your child to share their whereabouts with you. Ensure that you are aware at what time they return home after a night out. Converse with them when possible but dont pressurise.

Look out for:

  • Decline of academic grades.
  • Secretive.
  • Change of peer group.
  • Change in sleep pattern.
  • Unusual behaviour.

Talk to your child. Be open with them. Stay calm and offer informed advice.
